I had been on the periphery of the modding community for years but it seemed like both the quality and quantity of the modded wrestlers was really thin. 16 17 and 18 modders were getting their feet wet, and by the time 2k19 came out all 2k16-2k18 mods were transferable to 2k19 to give it a robust catalog to get started on. I mean isn't that kind of what happened to 2k19. And hopefully they don't change up the files. the mod community might not even take off until 2023 if even at all. So unless someone cracks something miraculous that allows us to transfer 2k19 with ease. b/c of that, forward progress will always be slow and stifling. No other mod community does any of this like WWE community does. And b/c of that a lot of the modders try to take advantage of that by charging, hiding tools behind paywalls and generally demanding this level of subterfuge with fees, passwords, and weaponizing popular mods to curb favor and appeal. WWE 2k mod community has always been small, and scarce.

It isnt even so much the time it takes to figure out the modding it's the time it takes for the mod community to produce all the modded wrestlers everyone wants. Game hasn't official reach it's street date release yet but I feel there's a good team assembled to get this handled this year.īut the biggest issue is we have 3+ years of quality and in some case once in a lifetime modded wrestler, who all are going to get lost in the abyss. It's really a matter of figuring it all out. You'd see much higher poly, higher quality mods being put into the game. I'd venture to say modding would virtually be better and easier without the old Yukes YOBJ limitations. It has been over two months since release, and the fact that they seem to have corrected their Y2K bug in less than 24 hours means they are able to fix this.There's headway being made on this front. If that's the case, this is unacceptable for two reasons one being that they should have prepared for this by implimenting an option when uploading to choose which game you're sending a file to, or simply creating a new uploader, and the other, because creation is a fundamental part of this franchise, and to have the linchpin of that feature hamstrung like it is kills nearly any joy I might have left. I read somewhere that basically the uploader can't tell if you're trying to upload to 2K19 or 2K20, so it basically gets lost in limbo. Having to try and upload one logo almost twenty times just go have my game crash while downloading it, having the image disappear from my incoming files, and not downloaded or saved is unacceptable.

How has the logo uploader not been repaired yet?The main reason I play WWE 2K at all is creation.
